International Multi-Brand E-commerce on Salesforce Commerce Cloud
How I supported Openmind in delivering an international multi-brand Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform for Sambonet, Paderno and Rosenthal on a demanding enterprise timeline.
Initial challenge
The Sambonet, Paderno and Rosenthal group needed an international commerce platform capable of supporting multiple brands, markets and languages while maintaining strong performance and a demanding time to market.
- White-label complexity: one architecture serving distinct brands
- Tight milestones: limited margin for delivery delay
- Cross-team coordination: business, platform and engineering decisions had to remain aligned
- Enterprise risk: technical complexity could not be allowed to block the programme
My contribution
I joined the Openmind delivery team as a certified Salesforce B2C Commerce consultant, combining hands-on engineering with support on critical platform decisions.
- Advanced SFRA development and complex storefront logic
- Technical review of scalability and maintainability
- Rapid resolution of platform-specific blockers
- Knowledge sharing that strengthened the internal team
Approach and delivery
The approach was collaborative and pragmatic: understand the existing white-label design, focus effort on the highest-risk work and make decisions quickly enough to protect each milestone.
Continuous review and direct communication reduced avoidable rework while keeping the shared codebase reliable across brands and markets.
Onboarding and analysis
Mapped the architecture, multi-brand requirements and priority delivery risks.
Core SFCC delivery
Supported complex storefront development, reviews and platform decisions.
Optimisation and testing
Validated international configuration, performance and multi-brand behaviour.
Go-live and handover
Supported launch stability, troubleshooting and final knowledge transfer.
Final outcome
The programme was delivered on schedule despite its architectural and organisational complexity.
Delivery protected across a demanding programme
A reusable foundation for three distinct brands
Built for multiple countries and languages
Continuous senior support prevented delays
Project highlights
Key takeaways
Platform knowledge accelerates decisions when the architecture is complex.
The strongest outcomes came from working as part of the existing team.
Recognising recurring SFCC risks early protected the programme timeline.
Conclusion
Complex multi-brand programmes need more than development capacity: they need focused platform judgement at the moments where delay becomes expensive.
The collaboration gave Openmind additional SFCC depth while preserving team ownership and delivery continuity.
